After a two-year suspension, Egyptian flights to Moscow are likely to resume operations next month, The Peninsula Qatar reported citing Egyptian officials.
The Head of Egypt’s national carrier, Egypt Air, Safwat Musallam, said flights would resume around mid April adding that flights to Moscow would be on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.
From the Russian side, Aeroflot announced that flights to Cairo would resume on April 11.
In December of last year Putin commended Egypt for their improvement of airport security, Cairo Scene reported.
In 2015, a Russian plane crashed in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula resulting in the death of everyone on board, which led Moscow to announce the suspension of all Egyptian flights to and from Moscow.
